Building community through slow living.

Lady Farmer began as a mother-daughter idea — a shared frustration with the lack of ethically made, sustainably produced clothing that actually fit their lives. What started as an apparel brand quickly grew into something much bigger: a full community platform connecting people with big ideas, actionable steps, and passionate leaders across slow living and sustainability. From podcast to book to in-person retreats, Lady Farmer became a gathering place for people who wanted to live differently.

Creative Direction that turns brands into movements.

Podcast Production

The Good Dirt is Lady Farmer's podcast, hosted by Mary and Emma Kingsley. Each episode brings together authors, researchers, friends, thought leaders, and real-life Lady Farmers for honest conversations about slow living, sustainability, and what it actually looks like to live with more intention.

To date, the podcast has garnered over 600,000 downloads and counting.

Fostering community online and in real life.

Two years, two retreats, over 80 attendees each — all gathered at Zigbone Farm in the Maryland countryside for a weekend of workshops, farm-to-table meals, and the kind of conversations that actually change things. From yoga and natural dyeing to fermentation and mending circles, the retreat was Lady Farmer in its fullest form: hands-on, community-driven, and deeply rooted in the land. When 2020 moved us online, we brought the same spirit to two virtual retreat experiences, growing our reach and accessibility in the process.

The Lady Farmer Guide to Slow Living is the handbook we always wished existed—a practical, beautiful, easy-to-digest collection of stories, recipes, tips, and reflection prompts for anyone ready to live with more intention.

Funded through a Kickstarter campaign that hit 175% of its goal, the book includes a 21-day slow living challenge and illustrations by Eileen M. Schaeffer. It's a small book with a big invitation.
